For 30 years Manuel Iguina has been a solid fixture in DC’s most influential culinary circles. In 2007, he launched Mio leaving his own mark in the city’s vibrant food scene. The Washington Post, Wine Spectator and the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington among others have recognized his work.

Karla Deidre Iguina, is an accomplished travel and hospitality marketing executive, having served as CEO of Club Med Mexico and as Vice President of Marketing for Mexicana Airlines.

Together Manuel and Karla make a powerhouse restaurateur couple but the story of how they fell in love will keep you coming back to Mio.
